Most people sleep better in a cool, comfortable room. A bedroom that is too warm or too stuffy can lead to restless, lighter sleep.
Try these habits first
- Aim for a room somewhere around 18–20°C.
- Open a window if it is safe to, or use a quiet fan.
- Use layers of bedding you can add or remove.
Things that may help
These are the kinds of products people often use for this. They can make good habits easier, but they are not a cure.
- Breathable bedding such as cotton or linen
- Moisture-wicking sleepwear
- Cooling pillows or mattress toppers
- A quiet bedside fan
